Woodchip Day 10/23

Eberwhite’s Annual Woodchip Day is October 23, 2026!

This annual trail maintenance day consists of students, parents, and community members pitching in time, grunt labor, and sleds in order to spread fresh woodchips along the trails of Eberwhite Woods. It’s an important part of our school’s commitment to environmental stewardship and collaboration: preventing erosion by protecting trail surfaces from runoff and defining our woods’ trails so everyone can enjoy a comfortable, durable trail surface regardless of weather.

This year, we’ll be woodchipping the southwestern portion of the Eberwhite Woods trail system.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Loan sleds and/or shovels: we need sleds and shovels to move the woodchips, adults shovel mulch onto sleds for students to pull through the trails

  • Sign up to be a Woods Guide: direct students to and from woodchip pile and aid them in dumping and spreading woodchips along trails

🍁👉 Click here to volunteer to join in on the fun or loan sleds or shovels!
