Helping Hands

Over the years, Eberwhite PTO has established and significantly expanded the Helping Hands program to ensure all students feel a part of our community and prepare them to succeed by offering assistance with food, clothing, school supplies for virtual learning, and after-school enrichment activities.

Where has Helping Hands provided relief in the past?

  • Registrations for after-school sports and classes (many of these were the first enrichment activity a student had ever registered for)

  • Re-stocking our food pantry

  • Purchasing athletic apparel for students' for extra-curriculars

  • Purchasing winter outerwear and winter clothes

  • Providing transportation to and from school and activities

  • Helping families experiencing housing insecurity

  • Providing holiday meals

With changes brought to our lives with the Covid pandemic, in 2020 Helping Hands also:

  • Provided direct food drop-offs

  • Provided transportation for supply distribution pick up and other needs

  • Bought and restored used bikes for our students

  • Purchased school supplies to aid in-home learning (headphones, desk organizers, etc...)

  • Advocated for student services

  • Again will ensure all Eberwhite students have winter outerwear

Helping Hands collects donations on an ongoing basis to support the above efforts and needs as they arise. Donations can be submitted via the PTO Square site, via Venmo @Eberwhite-HelpingHands, or via check (contact us for address).

Holiday Fundraiser

Eberwhite families, are you looking for holiday gifts that will give back to our community?

Eberwhile mom and local children's book author Lauren Ranalli is hosting a fundraiser for Helping Hands! Lauren is the author of "The Great Latke Cook Off", "Places We Have Never Been," and the newly released "Let's Meet on the Moon"- a story of friends staying connected when they can't be together (something many of us are experiencing right now).

You can use code EBERWHITE at www.laurenranalli.com by December 4th to get 10% off AND have $5 of every purchase donated to Helping Hands.

Please feel free to pass this information on to friends of Eberwhite so they can contribute as well!
